| 11/14/02 | SPAR hosts forum on Conyers Bill SPAR, the Society of Photographers and Artists Representatives, will host a Forum on the Conyers Bill for all Representatives, whether members of SPAR or not, this Thursday, Nov 14 in NYC. All artists with a Rep should urge their rep to attend, become informed about this legislative effort, the possible role of a union, and have their views be part of the dialogue going on in the industry. SPAR emailed invitations to 500 Representives nationwide (member and non-member reps), so your rep most likely has received all the information (they can't use the excuse for not attending that they didn't know about it!). Informed Reps are an important communicator to thousands of artists about rapid changes in this industry and the direction those changes might take it. Please urge your rep to be involved and responsibly informed, and to report their views to their illustrators.
